Why did you want to be an elder?

i'm curious to know reasons for wanting to be an elder?.

some have expressed to me they wanted to use their abilities to help others.. another said he wanted to be in the inner circle to make sure he was able to look after his families' interests in the event of any future mishaps by his children.. i think many just get caught in the web of handling microphones, then ministerial servant then elder.. i know it's easy for me to say as i wasn't any of these (apart from microphones) but .

i can't help thinking for most men it is simply helping to fulfill a desire for more power.. many don't seem content to be viewed as a mere publisher but want to get in on the action, knowing all the gossip and being involved on decisions.. is it true that deep down, even though most may have good motives, it is still out of a feeling of self importance.. thanks .

Why do people always blame others ?

my mom moved to a brand new building and i wanted to make doubles of her keys of her apartment, so i cross the street where they do that, and brought them 2 different keys to make doubles.

the first key went fine and could open that door, but the other key didn't open the door, so i went back and they tried again, so i went to moms apartment and it still didnt work, so i went back and they made an other one, and i went back to moms apartment and it still didnt work.....in all they tried 4 times and they weren't able, so i went to the cash to get my money back for the key that they werent able to make a double of....so the girl at the cash said, maybe you should get a new door lock, so i told her that it was a brand new building and a brand new door knob, so it was their fault not ours.

all that time i had a smile on my face when i want back and back and back, but when the girl at the cash said that i should try changing my door knob, then i realized how people just can't admit that they weren't able to do the job properly or they didn,t have the right key to start with to make a double.

Why all the mysteries.. like Jesus returns but nobody sees him, and the mystery of Babalyon The Great, and all those Beast and all their heads. And the Elijah and Moses thingy. AND all that stuff in Revelation? Why can't it just come out and say what all that means, so people can say... Hey this is happening... we better get our act toghther.. Or they could say.. I don't believe that. I have often wondered why the most important book on earth has to be such a BIG Mystery!!! Does anyone know?????????

Matt 17:11 goes on to say .. Jesus replied, They are right, Elijah must come and set everything in order. And in fact, he has already come, but he wasn't recognized, and was badly mistreated by many. And I the Messiah shall also suffer at their hands. .. Then the disciples realized he was speaking of John the Baptist... So John the Baptist and his followers must have been the Elijah class at that time. But who was Moses? Did he represent Jesus?

Mom Died -- and I found out from an old friend!

ok, i'm writing this thru tears as i just found out in the last 5 minutes.

my dad died in august, and they had been together just 1 or 2 weeks over 70 years married!

i didn't expect her to last without him, and visa versa.. i just tried to call my sister, and no answer there.

Did any of those gods claim to sit above the circle of the earth as our God did, showing that he knew the Earth was round before man ever discovered it. Did any of those gods ever say they would pull people down from the sky or up from the depths of the ocean as our God did... showing that he knew Men would have planes spaceships and submarines?
